Aflac Inc. (American Family Life Assurance Company) is an American insurance company and is the largest provider of supplemental insurance in the United States. The company was founded in 1955 and is based in Columbus, Georgia. In the U.S., Aflac underwrites a wide range of insurance policies, but is perhaps more known for its payroll deduction insurance coverage, which pays cash benefits when a policyholder has a covered accident or illness. The company states it "provides financial protection to more than 50 million people worldwide".

In 2011, the company's mascot, the Aflac Duck, made is Macy's Parade debut in the form of a balloonicle. This balloonicle featured Aflac wearing a green and red scarf with gold accents riding on a wooden sled. This balloonicle appeared until 2013.

In 2014, Macy's introduced a new Aflac Duck balloonicle. In this version, he is seen sitting on a chunk of ice with a blue scarf, skates and beanie hat. This balloon retired after 2016.

In 2017, Aflac once again debuted the newest version of the Aflac baloonicle. This version is very similar to the previous one, with the exception of him holding a beating heart and him riding on a snow tube.
