Citi Field is a baseball park located in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens. Completed in 2009, it is the home field of the New York Mets of the National League division of Major League Baseball. The stadium was built as a replacement for and adjacent to Shea Stadium, which opened in 1964 next to the site of the 1964 New York World's Fair.
Starting in 2014, the brand-new balloons, novelty balloons and balloonicles were tested in the Citi Field parking lot. However, after 2016, the balloons were once again tested at Metlife Stadium, were they have been tested since 2009. Then in 2021, The Balloonfest once again taken place at Citifield's Parking Lot. Then in 2022, The Balloonfest then took place at Metlife Stadium.
