The Red Holiday Ornament is a balloonicle from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
History with the Macy's Parade[]
The Red Holiday Ornament debuted in the 2010 Parade, with a simple gold, green, and red color scheme, with red Christmas poinsettias on the side. However, it never made it onto the parade route, due to the balloonicle tipping over and deflating minutes before starting the parade. [1] Despite this incident, it continued to appear in the 2011 and 2012 Parades. It has not been seen since, although it is known to still survive in the Macy's Float Warehouse.
