Mother Goose is the imaginary author of children's fairy tales and nursery rhymes that are known to countless millions of children since at least the earliest portions of the 20th century. She is commonly depicted as an elderly country woman, but is sometimes portrayed as a goose wearing a bonnet.

A float paying tribute to Mother Goose appeared in the 2006 Macy's Parade, with Julie Andrews riding it.
